SAFETY
My view on Safety and how to influence change pertinent to it is unique. From my perspective Safety is not on an island by itself, rather it is intertwined with an individuals view of time, integrity, and self discipline.
Let me explain… Safety is nothing more and nothing less than decision making. The decisions you make are rooted in the three values stated above.
Time- When we’re young we take time for granted and make decisions based on this reality. It’s not until we reach maturity that we understand the value of time and adjust our approach based on it. We all have a finite amount and as we go through life we adjust and don’t take the chances we once did in an effort to preserve.
Integrity- This is an individual’s guiding mechanism. Integrity determines what a person will or wont stand for relevant to respect for him or herself. We all know that when a person is integral, they demonstrate excellent decision making.
Self discipline- Time and integrity lay the foundation for good safety decisions but without self discipline they cannot be carried out. To be successful in safety decisions self discipline needs to be a foundational principle.
I have been using this approach in my teaching for almost seven years and have had this prove to be a relatable proven philosophy.
I look forward to working with you to recalibrate your folks to decision making that benefits them, their families, and your business.
